Definito “Il più bel caccia italiano della Seconda Guerra Mondiale”, il Reggiane Re 2005 Sagittario era uno dei caccia della “serie 5” costruiti attorno al potente motore tedesco a 12 cilindri Daimler Benz DB 605. Il Sagittario non entrò mai in pieno servizio operativo segnando il magnifico canto del cigno delle Officine Meccaniche Reggiane.
The so called “The most beautiful Italian fighter of the Second World War”, the Reggiane Re 2005 Sagittario was one of the “serie 5” fighters built around the powerful german 12 cylinders engine Daimler Benz DB 605. The Sagittario never seen full operative service and it was the magnificent swan song of the Officine Meccaniche Reggiane.
