SCUOLA ALTA VELOCITA’
La “Scuola d’alta velocità” fu istituita nel 1928 con il compito di addestrare i migliori aviatori italiani a pilotare gli idropiloti. Superata la velocità di 500km/h, i piloti Velocisti brevettati si unirono al RAV, lo squadrone d’elite della Regia Aeronautica assegnato alle competizioni del Trofeo Schneider.
The “Scuola d’alta velocità” was established in 1928 with the task of training the best Italian aviators to pilot hydroracers. Once the speed of 500km/h was exceeded, the patented Velocisti pilots joined the RAV, the Regia Aeronautica’s elite squadron assigned to the Schneider Trophy competitions.
